I'm telling you this now, so that you can train! If you've never participated in a 5k, it's just over 3 miles. Walking at least a 1/2 hour each day will get you ready to have fun in this race. Other exercises that will help - biking, swimming, jogging. If you are a recent survivor, take it easy - don't over do it. Again, just walking 1/2 each day will help.
