ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Mastectomy and Reconstruction Swimsuits

Today's post is an ALMOST Wordless Wednesday. I decided to shop for swimsuits that can be worn post-mastectomy and post-reconstruction. Here are my Top 10 favorites. Most are cut higher on the top and under arms, and many have pockets for breast forms, or removal pads. The websites were you can purchase the swimsuits are listed.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Birthday Cakes

Recently, our group had their 1-year anniversary party. One of our members, B-Jo, made a beautiful pink cake for the celebration. It's was lovely. I took lots of pictures, and was excited to share it on Wordless Wednesday. But... my camera card died. I lost all of my pictures from our celebration. I'm really upset. :(

Even though I can't share B-Jo's cake with you, I thought it would still be fun to share some pink cakes today in honor of our celebration:

ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Take a Seat!

I have this "thing" for chairs - especially unusual chairs. I was wondering this morning, if I could find a cool pink chair - and sure enough... a search of pink chairs on Google turned up some awesome finds! The question now is... am I daring enough to buy one??!! And WHERE would I put it?

This damask chair is just plain beautiful. Wish there was a better picture.

Haha! These remind me of the dryers in my mom's beauty salon when I was growing up - they weren't this lovely pink, though. ;-)

Oh, wow. What a fabulous chair!

Beautiful - the color is so unusual.

How can you go wrong with pink leather?! This suede chair looks SO comfy!

This chair is great - the shape, the stripes... everything!

I can stop now. I've found THE chair - this one is my favorite. LOVE this! Retro is so COOL!

Time to carve out a place in my house for my pink chair. Which one makes you happy?

ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Love, Courage, Hope - Breast Cancer Ribbon...

I found this cute breast cancer ribbon at FINE ART AMERICA and fell in love with it. It was drawn by an artist who had a friend who died from BC, and aunt who survived BC, and who had a BC scare herself. This is her contribution to the cause. You can actually order a print of this, or even some cards!

ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Spring is here... plant a pink garden!

I LOVE SPRING! And, it's finally here. I have a flower bed in my front yard that needs to be re-planted. I've planted several trees there, but none have survived. I've been thinking lately that a "PINK" garden might be just the thing to plant in this bed. Seeing these beautiful pictures has put me in the mood to go look for flowers to plant... ENJOY!

ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Komen 5k - 2010

Susan G. Komen Salt Lake City walk - 2010

I promised to post the picture from the Komen walk last year. I circled me and my friend, Janie Squire. It was an incredible day - it was my first Komen walk, and it was empowering to know that I could do something like that when just a year before I was so sick while on chemo! My sister was with me. We walked 3 miles, and then gathered at the end for a picture. There were over 17,000 people there!

We'd like to get a Sister Survivors team together to walk this year. The Komen 5k is on May 7th, in Salt Lake City. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us.

ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Rainy Days

March definitely did NOT go out like a lamb. It's been kind of yucky weather here lately, in Utah. Then, I saw this cute umbrella, and it brightened up my day!

ALMOST WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - Pink Projects

As Spring starts to arrive, I'm constantly thinking of all the "projects" I want to do - I want to learn to reupholster something, I want to refinish all of the old kitchen cabinets my inlaws gave us for my basement kitchen, I'd love to clean out my craft room (or as my husband calls it - "Crap Room"). So, I'm always looking for things that I would love to try. I found this picture of an adorable pink cabinet - just thought I'd share. It's amazing what a coat of paint will do for the personality of a dull piece of furniture!
